The Craftshed has been in Katikati since the mid 1980’s.  It was bought by Ron and Wyn Cordell in 2000.  Previously located on Wharawhara Road, Katikati, Ron and Wyn took the business to its present location in Marshall Place.  This is where they now manufacture their quality furniture.

Ron’s education was in forest technology but his career was with the U.S Navy in aircraft maintenance.  He had a passion for building furniture as a hobby during those years which eventually lead him to building furniture for the previous owners of the Craftshed and then later buying the business..

The bright green Craftshed building with photographs of its furniture decorating the main wall, is clearly visible from SH2, the main street of Katikati.  It’s large off-street car park invites visitors to drop in.
